Here we are in the midst of the month full of blessings; I am pleased to bring you the latest update s of AUSCI.
On behalf of the Trojan Family of Indonesia, we would like to wish everyone a most blessed Lebaran and/or Liburan! Mohon maaf lahir batin.
On its 3rd annual MISIP, 13 new Goodwill Ambassadors for Indonesia were born this year through the USC Marshall International Summer Internship Program). Suko Sosrodjojo the chair of MISIP and I, had the pleasure of meeting 13 stellar young Trojans, who came half way across the globe to experience Indonesia. Through the MISIP 8-week internship program we have kept the interns busy working, getting an idea of how our local business operates, and learning our Indonesian culture. Each of them expressed their gratitude for the MISIP program, and for having such a great support from the Indonesian Trojans here. - as Travis J. Robinson – one of the interns spoke on behalf of the group : “It feels good to go in (to a foreign environment) and know that there is a family around you ." This is prove yet again, that we Trojans are "Lifelong and Worldwide."
After MISIP, we are expecting to welcome 35 MBA Students of the USC Global Executive MBA program in Shanghai. All 35 MBAs are senior executives and entrepreneurs from across the Asia Pacific economies; they will spend 3 days going on a business-mission in Jakarta, from August 21-23, 2013.
All these USC Marshall School of Business’ global programs with Indonesia playing a vital role, have indeed reaffirmed our influence in Southeast Asia and in the world. AUSCI is truly honored and thank the Marshall family for their great interests to Indonesia; we will continue to support the upcoming USC global initiatives here.
More rewarding updates come from Jackson Tandiono ‘99, Director of PT Nipress Tbk - who successfully launched the first lithium battery ever made in Indonesia.
Minister for State-owned enterprises Dahlan Iskan expressed his thanks on the historical achievement.
Gearing up for the election for AUSCI 2014-2016 Executive Committee; we are in a full-recruit mode for new members for the Trojan Indonesia Cabinet, our next generation of leaders. I will lead an AUSCI Board committee meeting in November to start choosing the new President and Vice President , and members of the cabinet for the next term of service July 2014 – June 2016.
If YOU would like to lead AUSCI as our next president / vice president / committee member, please contact Novita to have your name in the ballot. The only requirements are: you bleed Cardinal and Gold (with a USC diploma) and you have a concrete plan to bring AUSCI to new and greater heights.
I would like to welcome my fellow Trojans out there to take the plunge into AUSCI. Trust me, it’s been a rewarding ride and I've learned so much from my interaction with various AUSCI's constituents.
Thank you, I look forward to seeing you soon...
